Toodyay 2026 Retreat

On the 14th May 20 Ladies travelled to Toodyay for our first retreat at a new venue. Layne and her husband Justin welcomed us to Toodyay Homestead Motel (formerly Avalon). This was the first Retreat they had held and whilst it was a bit of a learning curve for them having a large group of sewing ladies attend, it was a very successful weekend.

The venue was perfect with its beautiful outlook, two great outdoor areas, a games room and a large roomy sewing room with excellent lighting. The shared bedrooms were well appointed with separate ensuite bathrooms. The food was good with family style meals.

All in all we had a wonderful weekend with plenty of projects being either started or completed and a raffle and a game of “strip” poker.

The weekend proved to be a great success and is now on our list of WAQA retreat venues. A tentative booking has already been made for the same time next year.
