Featuring Janine Judge
Janine is currently the Artist in Residence in the CoLab Space within the Midland Junction Arts Centre (MJAC). She is busy quilting away using the Sweet Sixteen provided by Handcrafters House for the duration of the Artist in Residence program. Janine has a number of quilts on show on the walls and tables within the CoLab Space, including a display of her articles in quilting magazines. She will finish up Sunday, so only a couple of days left to get out there to see her and her work.
Janine is a WAQA Accredited Teacher, the current Workshop Convenor, and regularly runs workshops including an upcoming 2 day workshop Scribbling with Purpose this month. Janine was also the speaker at the WAQA General Meeting held in April earlier this year. Those that attended saw an amazing array of quilts (some currently on display in the CoLab Space) each with a wonderful story covering the inspiration, creation, completion, exhibition and recognition, with all seeming to involve travelling to many parts of Australia and the around the world.
Many of Janine’s quilts have won prizes at shows, been featured in quilting magazines and purchased to hang on walls in people’s homes.
