Fun at BYO Machine Night

I had a lot of fun at the BYO Machine Night even though I did not “Bring My Own” machine. I did some trimming, pressing and measuring of binding for Community Quilts. Not the most complicated or intricate work, but it did give me plenty of time to chat and have a look at what the others were working on.

Whilst the majority of the attendees brought their machines, others made progress on their hand sewing work. Use was also made of the Community Quilts table topper that sits over two raised trestle tables creating a large flat surface that is great for sandwiching quilts. 10 members attended, which was the largest number gathering for this event in a long time. The BYO Machine Night at APCH is on the 1st Wednesday of every month until October when the hall is needed by WAQA for the AGM. Check the calendar on the website if in doubt and I look forward to seeing more new faces next time.
