July Long Day Retreat Done!!

Last Sunday was WAQA’s second Long Day Retreat for 2025. It was another great day for the 27 quilters attending the event. Lucky for all, the day was not too cold. Some commented there was a lot of hot air in the room. I wonder if it was from the heaters, or from the sewing machines that were running non-stop?

A wonderful addition to the day was the visit by the lovely ladies from Calico & Ivy, who brought along lots of lovely fabric and other items for sale.

Spending all day at the sewing machine is extremely productive, particularly when surrounded by like minded individuals. The support and advice from other quilters is invaluable especially when they encourage completion of quilting projects.
