Cancer Fundraiser at May Sewing Day and Night
We are having a fun fundraiser for cancer at both Sewing Day and Sewing Night on Tuesday May 17.
There will be a “ bean count” vote to determine which cancer association will receive our funds. Do you have a special cancer you would like to support then please encourage other members to put their token in the appropriately coloured ribboned jar…
Pink for breast cancer,
White for lung cancer,
Grey for brain,
Light blue for prostrate, etc, etc, etc ...
the most votes will get all the funds we raise on the day .
No need to dress up but please feel free to wear the colour of the cancer you wish to support.
Please bring a strata of various coloured strips (any cancer colour except black or red).
The strata is to measure 9”x 15”
The strips can be any width from 1 “ to 2 1/2 “ wide by 9 “ long.
These stratas will make a quilt on the day, to be donated to the winning cancer association !!!
Please bring LOTS of gold coins as there will be raffles, games etc to raise funds.
There will be other special events including a popup on “notions suitable for a fundraising craft table or gifting to a friend”. Please bring your phone or note pad to record the how to’s.
BYO a plate of treats to share with your table at sewing day.
